SOMETHING FOR THE EARLY BIRDS

• Thanks to all your support, we will be having a very full program for the two days of racing. Please be punctual and early. Your early arrival before 8:00am would be most appreciated.
• Radio impound would start at 8:00am sharp. Radio impound boxes are laid out on the driver stand. Please place them into the appropriate box.
• At 8:15am we will conduct an early bird lucky draw, if we can find sponsors, to thank your support.

QUALIFYING SYSTEM

• We aim to take the best 3 of 6 heats based on points. Points shall be assigned to the drivers of every round of Heats. In order to be prepared for thunderstorms disrupting any of the runs, drivers need to be prepared that we shall total points for 3 of 5, or 2 of 4, or 2 of 3, or 1 of 2 or 1 of 1.
• All Heats & Finals shall be 5 minutes in duration. We shall plan for 1 run for all finals from C and below. We shall plan for best 1 of 2 or 1 of 1 run(s) for B Main Final. We shall plan for best 2 of 3 or 1 of 2 or 1 of 1 run(s) for A Main Final. The varying runs here are to be prepared for unforeseen weather conditions. These are our proposal; actual schedule shall be posted on site.
• Each run of heats; drivers will score points based on the laps and times achieved. The maximum number of points awarded to the best driver will be equal 85.
o The fastest in each round will score: 85 points.
o The 2nd fastest will score: points of fastest driver, -2 points.
o The 3rd fastest will score: points of 2nd fastest driver, -1 point
o Down to last position one by one.
• In every run, in case of a tie, the points will be equally awarded to each driver, and the first driver not to tie, will receive one point less per tie. For example:
1st driver will score 85 points
2nd driver will score 83 points
3rd driver will score 82 points
4th driver will score 81 points
5th driver 7 laps, 5:01.00 will score 80 points TIE
6th driver 7 laps, 5:01.00 will score 80 points TIE
7th driver 7 laps, 5:01.00 will score 80 points TIE
8th driver 7 laps, 5:10.00 will score 77 points
• In a case of two or more drivers having the same point score, the next best point score determines position. If still unable to resolve with the next best rounds, then the driver with the fastest laps and times in his best score will determine position.
• Assuming that all goes as plan, we would have 6 rounds of heats. The point results of the best 3 will be totaled to sort for finals. If, due to unforeseen circumstances, we will use best 3 of 5, or 2 of 4, or 2 of 3, or 1 of 2, or 1 of 1.• If a driver does not start a heat, he receives no points.

GENERAL HOUSEKEEPING INFORMATION

a. Food & Drinks: The East Coast Park is largely a recreational area with no direct access to food and drinks. We will have our cleaner lady stock up her fridge with drinks. Please help us to support her efforts. As for food, we will have phone numbers ready for you to order from popular joints like MacDonald’s, Kentucky & Pizza Hut.
b. Electricity: We would order a 25kVA power generator only for the 2 race days, however it is very costly to get a power point for every driver, some $30 each. Therefore, drivers please supply your own 4 way power extension cord to daisy chain amongst yourselves.
c. In Singapore, littering is an offence, by law. Similarly, smoking is banned by law in all covered areas with or without air-conditioning.
d. Radio Impound bins for all heats shall be placed on the driver stand. Drivers are reminded to place their radios into the respective radio impound bins by the stipulated time. No radio transmitters are allowed anywhere else, except up in the driver stand.
e. Drivers shall be issued with a driver identification tag, please display it prominently for identification purposes. Other than race officials, no one else, without a Driver or Official identification tag shall be allowed access to the driver stand.
f. Drivers shall be issued with a driver identification tag, please display it prominently for identification purposes. Other than race officials, no one else, without a Driver or Official identification tag shall be allowed access to the driver stand.
g. Singapore is a tropical country; all drivers please take note and be ready for it. On a best effort basis, we will try to have each round of heats completed under dry conditions. However, when we start off the finals, we will only stop the time table if the track surface is wet.
h. For the finals, a 10 point system shall be used to sort the best 2 of 3 runs (A main finals), or best 1 of 2 runs (A & B main finals), or best 1 of 1 run (all finals), subject to unforeseen circumstances. In the event we could not execute the finals due to weather constraints, the qualifying heat sort will be used to rank all drivers.
i. Each driver will be issued with a single number sticker for your Heats, please clean the surface of the left side wall of your body (bearing reference with the front of your car facing away from you) and attached the number sticker onto it. This is to ensure that when your car goes across the transponder pick-up coil, the Time Keeper and Race Director can verify your car number.
j. Drivers using DSS radios (Spektrum or Nomadio) and or AMB Personal Transponders please take note of your receiver power source. The Time Keeper shall not be held responsible for any miss counting by the AMB Spark2 system.
